To Be A Teenager In 1992

Over the past year I, like many, have become rather obsessed with the care free sound of old school rave and just having fun instead of forcing myself to indulge in some ill conceived banger trying desperately to out do SebastiAn (not possible). One thing I've always struggled with is the fact that production techniques back in the day just can't compare to the tools available today. Thankfully such resources aren't going over looked.

Surkin's Next of Kin EP was kind of the eye opener for me and he just keeps on putting out great tracks and remixes to add to my growing fascination. In a similar vein is Tommie Sunshine and his remix of Sneaky Sound System.

New Fun With Mr. Oizo & Uffie

So I must apologize for any mysterious dissapearances on the site, the big bad Blogspot has been giving me some shit and deleting my posts for fun. Whatever

Anyway. Mr Oizo has done the world right once again. His track Steroids Ft. Uffie was a bit of a let down (like most songs ft. uffie) but he has done an amazing remake of it and it absolutely smashes! A glitched up remix with a lot of guitar driven sampling going on, I am really impressed.

Proxy x Crookers & New Tiga

This is getting complicated. When 'Raven' was first released and sent speakers running for their lives, a lil song called 'The Crow' started creeping around. This fun but nothing amazing track was produced by both the Crookers and Boy-8-Bit. Now there have been tons of Raven remixes and everyone is getting ready for Proxy's remix of Tiga's new track 'What You Need' (which looks to be emense) but out of the woodwork comes a radio preview of CROOKERS take on 'Raven'. I'll let you judge for yourself.

Here is that Crookers & Boy 8 Bit I mentioned if you haven't picked it up yet:

Tiga x Bloody Beetroots & Congorock x Jokers of The Scene

Loud & Evil. Expect anything less?

Tiga - Mind Dimension (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) (Media Fire)

I love the sounds that Jokers of The Scene produce, rolling melodies combined with pounding bass that kicks to center of your soul. Just killer. Add in the wild and uncontrollable madness that is Congorock and you get one epic remix.
